Review:
I saw your advert in the paper critical essay writing From these nights came my cinematic imagination of Australia and the thrilling contrasts of dry, wide open spaces, rolling surf, driven sportsmen and free spirit. Everyone “had a go” in this land of opportunity and I desperately wanted a go myself. The moment school finished, I booked a ticket. The fellow next to me on the plane was called Bruce (I know, but true) a builder’s mate from New South Wales. He smoked a couple of packets of Marlboro Red and polished off 30 beers during the flight. I had a job with a cricket club in Bruce’s home town of Newcastle, two hours’ north of Sydney, playing at weekends and learning to tile and grout with Bruce during the week. It was a hoot.
